For those who don’t have Twitter I posted a new picture of Jonathan on to our account which emerged not long ago from the 24/11/11, where he was doing voice overs for Belle Du Seigneur in Brussels. It is so wonderful to see him smiling again!
@BananaFilmsBE replied to a comment left by a fan regarding the photo saying “You’re welcome! The movie is coming out beginning of 2012. He’s really amazing in the movie, I can tell you that” and another one read “You’re welcome! He’s doing much better!” which is just absolutely amazing to hear. Here’s to a very happy and successful 2012!
Aah Jonathan, you wonderful man! You never cease to amaze just how fabulous you are! Jonathan is currently backing a campaign to help to restore Christ Church where ‘The Tudors’ was filmed.
A famous cathedral needs to find €2m for its future upkeep. Christ Church in Dublin, a major tourist attraction, requires an initial cash injection of €1m for essential stonework repairs to its famous bell tower and another €1m for refurbishment of its Chapter House. Yesterday, model Rosanna Davison, dancer Michael Flatley, singer Roger Whittaker, actor Jonathan Rhys Meyers and a host of well known names got behind a donation drive for an upcoming auction aimed at securing its future.
Im sure as you have all seen from The Tudors it is a beautiful building inside and out and it would be such a shame if the target wasn’t met. If anyone wants to make any donations, you can find all of the information below from their website. Im sure everyone involved in the project would be really grateful for any donation, big or small. So, we finally have a date for the Belle Du Seigneur premiere! According to Stealth Media Group it will be on the 3rd November at 1pm in Santa Monica at the American Film Market.. (Santa Monica?!) Who’s idea was that? Anyway we hope Jonathan will be there so we can bring you all some beautiful pictures. As of now we don’t know if he will be there or not but if we find out we will let you all know.

‘The Tudors being The Tudors, pretty soon my character was having sex with Jonathan Rhys Meyers’ she grins. ‘I was lucky, though, because the make-up department spent two hours covering up my tattoo with body make-up, but as soon as I put on my corset, it rubbed off immediately.
As there were no tattoos in Tudor times, the director couldn’t do all the shots they wanted in the bedroom. So I was like, dammit! I have to keep my clothes on!’ she feigns disappointment while laughing. ‘I totally dodged a bullet.’
Nevertheless Katie still had to grin and bear it in a fairly explicit scene as sexy Bess purrs at King Henry ‘Are you really the King of England?’ ‘There is always that awkward moment at dinner when someone’s parent says they’ve seen me in The Tudors’ she confides. ‘It’s a bit like, ‘oh, God, how do I continue the conversation from here?’
The onscreen shenanigans in the series bonded the cast closely and soon there was speculation that life was imitating art, after Katie and Jonathan Rhys Meyers were pictured with each other, protesting at the Hill of Tara and partying at Electric Picnic.
‘We were never together’ Katie insists. ‘There were stories in the papers at the time but we’re just really good mates. Is Jonny my type? I guess so. He’s really beautiful and smart. And I like smart. The pair remain close friends, and Katie is clearly upset when I mention Jonathan’s recent struggles. ‘It’s been difficult, because I’m filming and away and he’s filming and away, and friendships like that are always hard,” she says. “It is a really difficult time for him and, you know, you just want your friends to be OK and I just hope that he is. ‘I’ll text him or call him just to say, ‘Listen, I’m here.’ He’s a really sensitive guy and I think that’s what makes him such a great actor. He uses the pain in his work.”

Ive added some On the Set pictures to the Gallery from the filming of Albert Nobbs and one from Belle Du Seigneur. With Jonathan only having a small part there isn’t really many photos floating around on the Internet for Albert Nobbs at the moment. As soon as some new ones appear, I will upload them straight away

According to hitfix.com, Jonathan is playing a Viscount within the film and unfortunately, he only appears in a few scenes (we suspected so anyway)
He was given a lovely review and the person writing the article even suggested that they wish he’d of had a bigger part within the film.
‘The screenplay hints there could be more though such as the secrets so many of the characters hide from each other including the Doctor’s affair with another maid, the rich “womanizing” lord (a completely wasted Jonathan Rhys Meyers) who plays more in bed with his best mate than with the ladies or the despised hotel owner (Pauline Collins) who is barely keeping the business a float. This theme could have worked under another director, but these tangents almost fly pointlessly by Garcia’s eye’
