I was so entranced with the TV series “The Tudors” that I frequently watched an episode three times. Not only were the actors and actresses superb but the costuming was outstanding. I am a history buff and so going back to the 16th century England was a treat! I did not realize that during Henry VIII reign, some 72,000 people were put to death. It is a gruesome tale of that period! I read that when a palace was found to be absolutely filthy and crawling with rats and vermin in every nook and cranny, Henry VIII would simply move to another palace while it was made liveable again. I believe he had 55 palaces. I realize he was a cruel ruler but modern times witnessed a Hitler carrying out more cruelties than even existed in Henry’s day.
